Electric cowboy for many years used to be one of my favorite clubs to go for the music being that there's not a whole lot do here in Little Rock. I say "used to" because I went a few weekends ago&a friend had told me where she'd been watched like a hawk, never experiencing this before was alarmed & of course, aggrivated. I myslef experienced this from the same black male security guard, Dexter, as I walked off the dance floor to smoke after already at my seat. He stood above me w/ hostility in his tone not really knowing what he was talking about, my conclusion was that this was the same man that had been bothering my friend, with one warning of her drinking but kept her in his sight. Feeling threatened I walked to the front where my friend was stamping people in, told her about this problem security guy, she listened and told me to find a different security guard since she couldn't leave her post. So I found two guards &explanation to me was that they'd been having a bad night with breaking up lots of fights, I said that was no reason to take it out on innocent women here just minding our own business. I then found the guard that I know on a personal basis named Les, he seemed to be concerned at the moment but to my surprise he would turn on me later. As time passed, it was forgotten, until right in the middle of the dance floor, my friend had gotten her wrist tightly snatched up by this black security guard out from nowhere that was giving us problems from erlier. When brought to the attention of James Rapert, mgr, I was not satisfied w/ the outcome. This was blatane injustice for some power-trip-driven black male. Girl stamping in people, voiced our concerns also since I brought it to her attention when the problem started. I will not be going back for it doesn't feel safe as a customer going there to enjoy, where personal space is threatened, harrased, or bullied. I'd rather be boogying at " Deep" under Willy D's bar where it's a little more calm and inviting.
- Pros: The Dancing
- Cons: Disgruntled security that harrass club goers for no apparent reason

I would not recommend the Electric Cowboy in Little Rock, AR. A security guard (Dexter, a African American that works there if not the only one) is on a power trip. He harassed me after only one time he had gotten on to me for being on the dance floor while drinking (by the seatting area on the edge of dance floor). I did what I was told and from there on he kept me in his sight. I was dancing with others and he grabbed me by the wrist and pulled me off the dance floor for no reason and management (James Repert) took his side and did not do anything about it. I am not a trouble maker and if I did something wrong, I will admit to it but I did not. Dexter is a grown guy and needs to tell the truth of what really happen, why lie and make up stories. Don't fault me just because you are a loser working at the cowbody and think your really somebody, your not! Try getting an education and doing something with yourself rather than making minimum wage and hating the world for your ignorance.
- Pros: Good Music and Dancing
- Cons: Security Guards on a power trip
Best place to dance in town

I love going to the Cowboy on Friday nights!!! On those nights they play a mix of hip hop and country. I've heard that on Saturday they play lots of country, but I'm not really into that but if you are, Saturday night is the time to go. The drinks are reasonably priced and the service is good; I've never had a less than great drink served to me there. Like the other review said, the electricbull is quite fun if you've had a few. And they have the best dancing in Little Rock!
- Pros: Great dancing, good drinks, happy atmosphere
