Not what you think.... For those around the US who actually Country Western Dance or Line Dance, this is not the club for you. They do play some country before 10:00pm, but it is mostly Triple-Twos. They do about 6 line dances that are very basic (Cupid Shuffle, Cleveland Shuffle, Electric Slide, etc..). After 10 it is all hip hop doing Free Style. The place is dirty. I do not know when the last time the carpet was cleaned. The Bar staff is very polite, but the rest are not. The DJ does not take request saying he can only play things off of a playlist. Shame, nice floor.
Fantastic club! Best in LR!.
I think the last 2 people that posted this were both the same person. Someone did something wrong and was fussed at by a security guard and didn't like it. That's not what this place is like.
I took a drink on the dance floor my first time here, they told me not to, so I didn't anymore. Nobody stalked me or looked over me all night. I definitely don't believe what these people, or PERSON, put on here.
They play a lot of GREAT music from country to top 40s. Hip-hop, dance, everything you want to here. Of course, they play a good bit of country too since it's the Cowboy.
Drinks are fairly price, about the same as anywhere else you go. Large dance floor, don't know what happened to the bull thought!! I haven't seen it in months! That's a little upsetting but I still love it here. It gets pretty packed on the weekends.
Wednesday=Ladies night. You get in free all night.
Thursday=Karaoke. Haven't been yet, used to be on Sundays and that DJ sucked but I was told by the staff it's a different DJ now.
Saturday=Get in free from 9-10! Pretty good deal!

Avoid alltogether. Electric cowboy for many years used to be one of my favorite clubs to go for the music being that there's not a whole lot do here in Little Rock. I say "used to" because I went a few weekends ago&a friend had told me where she'd been watched like a hawk, never experiencing this before was alarmed & of course, aggrivated. I myslef experienced this from the same black male security guard, Dexter, as I walked off the dance floor to smoke after already at my seat. He stood above me w/ hostility in his tone not really knowing what he was talking about, my conclusion was that this was the same man that had been bothering my friend, with one warning of her drinking but kept her in his sight. Feeling threatened I walked to the front where my friend was stamping people in, told her about this problem security guy, she listened and told me to find a different security guard since she couldn't leave her post. So I found two guards &explanation to me was that they'd been having a bad night with breaking up lots of fights, I said that was no reason to take it out on innocent women here just minding our own business. I then found the guard that I know on a personal basis named Les, he seemed to be concerned at the moment but to my surprise he would turn on me later. As time passed, it was forgotten, until right in the middle of the dance floor, my friend had gotten her wrist tightly snatched up by this black security guard out from nowhere that was giving us problems from erlier. When brought to the attention of James Rapert, mgr, I was not satisfied w/ the outcome. This was blatane injustice for some power-trip-driven black male. Girl stamping in people, voiced our concerns also since I brought it to her attention when the problem started. I will not be going back for it doesn't feel safe as a customer going there to enjoy, where personal space is threatened, harrased, or bullied. I'd rather be boogying at " Deep" under Willy D's bar where it's a little more calm and inviting.
Not Recommended. I would not recommend the Electric Cowboy in Little Rock, AR. A security guard (Dexter, a African American that works there if not the only one) is on a power trip. He harassed me after only one time he had gotten on to me for being on the dance floor while drinking (by the seatting area on the edge of dance floor). I did what I was told and from there on he kept me in his sight. I was dancing with others and he grabbed me by the wrist and pulled me off the dance floor for no reason and management (James Repert) took his side and did not do anything about it. I am not a trouble maker and if I did something wrong, I will admit to it but I did not. Dexter is a grown guy and needs to tell the truth of what really happen, why lie and make up stories. Don't fault me just because you are a loser working at the cowbody and think your really somebody, your not! Try getting an education and doing something with yourself rather than making minimum wage and hating the world for your ignorance.
Best place to dance in town. I love going to the Cowboy on Friday nights!!! On those nights they play a mix of hip hop and country. I've heard that on Saturday they play lots of country, but I'm not really into that but if you are, Saturday night is the time to go. The drinks are reasonably priced and the service is good; I've never had a less than great drink served to me there. Like the other review said, the electricbull is quite fun if you've had a few. And they have the best dancing in Little Rock!
friendly place. I love the EC its a good place they have a huge crowd on the weekends and the chatters from the yahoo arkansas rooms have chat parties there.. They are a blast!!!! After you get a good buzz going you should ride the mechanical bulll... the service is very good.. they play a mix of music.. ive always had fun there
Best Place. Great music, big crowd, lots of fun, friendly staff, great drink specials and the rose lady is hot! It's like one big family. It's the best place in Little rock to play at nite. Friday nights are crazy it's the biggest night of the week for the ECowboy.
YEEHAW!!!. a fun club in arkansas? it sure was! i've been down in little rock a couple of times visiting my BF in the military, and i wish he could've taken me here more often since i love to dance. well, it's not as great of a club of what i'm used to back home in houston of course. pretty good for arkansas though! it's a nice country club where they play country and hip-hop. the bartenders were nice. they also have a mechanical bull too!
