old dogs come back sore. Used this place for years and always felt it was a good value. They did a good job with the bathing, nails, teeth, etc, but I did always feel that they didn't do much brushing. My concern has come lately... our dog is getting old and has been coming back sore... like takes 3 days to recover and can barely get up to go out to use the bathroom kind of sore.

I thought at first it was the car ride (new car has cargo area and she has more room to stand and lose balance, maybe causing sore muscles); however we took some car rides without going to the groomer and she was fine. Then I switched groomer and she does not come home sore any more. I do not believe they were being abusive, but I do suspect that they may have been pulling her leash to get her to follow and climb up the ramp for her bath and stuff, causing her to strain her old, weak muscles. I told them that she has to be lifted, but I don't think this was being done.

If you have a old dog that is a large breed, I do not recommend this groomer. But other than that, they do great.... we used them for nearly 10 years…

Perfect Pet Hotel. What a neat place!! These people have everything you could possibly need for your pet, whether it is a cat, dog, or fish. I have all 3. I went on an extended vacation to the Caymen Islands for 2 weeks. I left my geriatric dog, whom has to take medicine 3 times a day (not including an insulin shot in the morning and evening) and has its own special food from the vet with them and I was thoroughly impressed with how great my dogs looked. My fish was kept in clean water, my kitty was brushed, and my dog was clean and healthy. These folks did a really good job at making sure my animals were well taken care of while i was gone taking care of myself. I would HIGHLY recommend them to anyone looking for a great kennel.…

Affordable, friendly pet sitter. I stumbed onto Fairview Kennels randomly, when in a bind near Thanksgiving. They had a spot available and were affordable. I have two dogs: beagle & beagle mix. They can be escape artists and the little one has a tendency to eat all his food quickly and then move on to finish the other's. This is something we have to watch for at home because the big one won't get to eat even half of his meal.

The first time we boarded here, the little one came back with a limp/sprain that lasted until we got some doggie-tylenol from the vet. And, the second time, the little one was VERY bloated when we picked them up. We realized we had not specifically told them to segregate the two, and they had been feeding them together. The kennel hadn't been paying close enough attention to notice one was getting thinner, and one was very plump after only a couple days.

All in all, I think the pups enjoy it here. They offer a group play time where the dogs can mingle with the other boarders, but I usually don't have them participate in that. They come back to us very excited, and seem healthy. I am boarding with them again soon. I'll be sure to specify everything this time!…
