Worth It
by Dreamgiver at Citysearch
The restaurant is expensive and all expensive things do not go with everyone....Its like having an acquired taste for the best in life. This is one of the best restaurants to land in Little Rock since Coys.
- Pros: Expensive tastes
Might be upscale, but not fine dining!

Very uncomfortable and cramped booth. Glass on top of tablecloths! How declasse, with plates clanking on it, glasses sweating onto it and dripping on your clothing - tablecloths aren't that expensive. Salad was huge, but the dressing was bland, crab cakes were no where close to the best we have had! Seafood dish was filled with watery sauce to the rim and a pile of pasta that could serve 4. The liver was dry and the sauce (tasted like a powdered sauce mix) was terrible, also accompanied with rice!? with liver?! The desserts were all boughten, not made in-house. We had apple pie and it was Mrs. Smith's out of the freezer and baked. There is better out there to enjoy. This city needs to lose its chain mentality! Service was less than professional and needed some training, in even the basics.
- Pros: Location, Parking
- Cons: , Quality of food, Desserts
Always great food!

Head chef and owner Evette Brady always prepares the freshest foods and serves up huge portions. Expect 3-4 specials every night in addition to the large menu. The steaks are always good.
The escargot is very special as well. Be sure to get reservations on the weekends. A large private dinning room is available also.
Not worth the price

Yes this isn't expensive for dining out in a fine restaurant in this day in age. However for the meals we received it wasn't worth the price! Having worked in restaurants I can pretty much tell a powdered or jar sauce quite quickly and these resembled that in consistency and taste. The fish my companion had was overcooked and dry. My veal dish was too salty to taste anything but the salt. The vegetables were a mixture of overcooked and undercooked. The atmosphere is pleasant but the service and food doesn't come up to it. This is on par with eating at a chain so yes in that regard it is expensive.
- Pros: atmosphere
- Cons: uneven preparation, slow service, poor value
