Horrible Experience

In response to the salon's response. They did nothing to ensure my happiness. They did not allow me to come back in either time that my hair was messed up, even though I did not like it. I told them before I left both times that I did not like it, but she told me to go home and then come back if my feelings did not improve. I gave her a tip because even though she messed it up, I knew she was trying AND she said that they would fix it if I was still unhappy when I got home. Which was not true. Now I have to go to another salon and hope that they will be able to figure out what Payton Place did wrong. It is terrible and the owner made me feel like I did something wrong by coming back again after I did not like it the first time. There are only 3 Aveda salon's, so I thought I would try again and surely she would get it right. I am in sales and am grateful when people give me another chance....mistakes happen. The true test is what you do when a mistake happens. Obviously Payton does not think that they have any responsibility in pleasing their customers. If you don't like their work, they just send you away. I have never been treated so poorly. I am not in the habit of writting bad reviews. I am putting this information out on the web because I do not want anyone else to go through what I have. I hope this helps.

Great Place For Salon and Clothing Boutique

If you love Aveda and the latest styles of clothing then this is the place to go. I have loved going to the salon since they opened, on my last visit I bought a new outfit in their new clothing boutique. They have totally remodeled and doubled their space for the boutique. The staff helped me pick out the cutest jeans, and two tops, and a jacket. Absolutely love the whole salon/boutique idea.

LOVE IT, LOVE IT, LOVE IT!!!!

I love it when I can be transformed head to toe. I have long hair that takes me forever to style, so I found this gem of a salon, while looking for Aveda, to do just that while I was in town. The girls were wonderful. I received a great massage, and a beautiful style - they even tried a new lip color and shadow on me and found me an amazing pair of jeans! I didn't want to leave. And don't worry - I'll be back!

• Cons: I don't live in Little Rock! I live 7 hours away.

First impressions last.

I called today and asked for their rates on haircut and hair color. The guy that answered the phone was very rude and seems like he wanted to end the conversation badly. Its like he's talking to a 'POOR LADY WHO PROBABLY WOULDNT EVEN COME IN AND JUST WANTED TO CHECK FOR CHEAP RATES SO I WONT HAVE ANY INTEREST IN GIVING YOU GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE' --kind of conversation. I have read the reviews and I didnt care about the negative ones because they have more positive reviews from their customers. But if they are not going to be friendly and courteous on the phone where you should really put an effort to make future customers feel that they are welcome, then I guess they wouldnt be when we're in the salon.

Great salon!

I have been going to Payton Place for several years. I started seeing a young girl who moved out of state and have been seeing Alicia for at least a year - probably more now! alicia is fantastic! My kids and my husband also go to the salon and i think we've used everyone who works there. We have never had an unpleasant experience. They are just great!

Payton Place is a great Salon

I have been a customer of Payton Salon for a few years now. I had a few problems and the problems were was resolved quickly. The owner is a great lady. She wears several hats as owner, stylist, and teacher. She cares for all the clients of the salon and her crew.

Every work place, hang outs, places in general ... there will always be conflicts and connections. If you don't feel the conection then you will most definately feel the conflict more. Speak up and say naaa i don't like. Show the stylist pictures, tell them up front If you want long hair or describe what your want your hair to look like, ask them what the lingo is for X amt to taken off. A trim doesn't mean less then a inch .. it has another name for taking the ends off. Make sure you have clear communications. They Staff at any salon can't read your mind. If you don't speak up and tell them to go for it... they will because they love to be creative .....

Another tip is when you go to a salon before making a appt watch some of the cuts that the stylist are doing. If you don't dig you know that stylist isn't for you.

Odd?

Isn't it odd that the owner would respond to a review and then call the reviewer by name?? Beware of what you write, they may respond and call you by name. Kind of defeats the purpose of anonymous reviews, doesn't it?

Best Salon Ever!

I have been using Peyton Place Salon for aprox. 3 years. I have been colored, waxed, moisturized, cut, styled, pedicured, straightened, curled, long, short, massaged, given drinks, emailed, mailed, sampled, bags checked and been entertained. The goal of this shop is to make you happy. The collective years of their experience is huge. They are highly trained by Aveda and offer every service available at a reasonable price. I live two hours away and often take half days off of work to go to that specific salon. It's like going to Cheer's in that "everybody knows your name" and you leave feeling better than you felt when you entered. Those folks would do anything, I mean anything, to make a customer happy. See for yourself. One bad customer comment from hundreds of satisfied customer says more about that customer that the folks at the salon. Yay for Peyton Place!!

Best Salon To Go To

Ive been going to Peytons Place for about 4 years, and every time Ive been the stylists have always been amazing. They are so sweet and very professional. They know exactly what will look good on you and what won't. Every time I walk out I feel (and look) sooo good. The girls up there are so trendy and fashion forward they can make a hobo ready for the runway!! I totally recommend it.

Best Salon in central arkansas!

this really is the coolest salon in central arkansas! me and all of my friends go to Payton Place Salon! they stay up on the current trends and fashion and always let me know if the cut I am wanting will look good on me. they are always so sweet and nice when I walk through the door! if you want to be taken care of, you couldn't ask for a better salon.

Always a happy camper at Payton Place Salon

This WOMAN who went into Payton Place and gave a bad reveiw does not know the whole story, nor does she care to know. I have been going to Payton Place for several years and I love it! I always look like a millon bucks. I went to my favorite girl "Gina" which is the bomb, yesterday, and we "lightened up" for the summer! Nothing but compliments and I even referred someone to her, because they loved my hair so much! Payton Place is a great salon with nothing but customer service in mind. They are the ones that turned me on to Aveada products and I will not use anything else on my hair, my face, and I use their makeup, because they had given me samples of the different products. Payton Place is a "full" service salon with nothing but YOU in mind and making you happy! I am always happy when I leave! Angela, Gina and all my girls, keep it up, I LOVE YOU!!!
